During the holiday season, this recipe is a family favorite. It is both sweet and savory and goes well with any main dish.
1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
2. Combine cubed cornbread and stuffing mix and set aside.
3. Place chopped sausage links and ground sausage in a skillet; cook and stir over medium heat until evenly browned. Drain and set aside. Prepare bacon in the same skillet and drain. Add cooked meats to cornbread mixture and set to the side.
4. Using the same skillet, cook over medium heat the celery and onion until tender, about 5 minutes. Combine with cornbread mixture.
5. Stir in the chopped apples, dried cranberries and parsley to the cornbread mixture, season with salt, pepper and sage.
6. Pour enough chicken broth over the cornbread mixture to moisten thoroughly.
7. Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
8. Bake in preheated oven until the center is firm, about 60 min.
